Bruce Castle Museum & Archive will be ho-ho-hosting a variety of activities and events throughout the festive season – and it all starts this weekend!
Festive Tottenham Flea @ The Castle
- Saturday 26 November, 10:30am-4:30pm
Visit the Castle and enjoy browsing a range of stalls for collectables, retro furniture and enamel kitchenalia, ceramics, glassware, vintage clothes and accessories, jewellery, brocante, textiles, mid-century maps vinyl and advertising, comics and books, and much more besides!
Entry £2 – accompanied children go free
Assistance dogs welcome.
NB Card payment is available but cash please for majority of stallholders.
Forage and Wreath-Making Workshop
- Saturday 26 November, 1 – 4pm
There are still a few places available to attend our traditional wreath-making workshop, led by our wonderful willow-weaving artist Angela Baker.
£35 – all materials included, plus tea and mince pies! You can pay on the day
Museum Shop Sunday @ The Castle
- Sunday 27 November, 1 – 5pm
Bruce Castle will be taking part in this year’s international #museumshopsunday to promote support for arts, heritage and cultural institutions around the world. Come to our Little Museum Shop @ The Castle and find unique stocking fillers, cards, games and more. There will be 10% off on selected games and puzzles and some prints in the shop.
Card and cash payments accepted.

Book Sunday @ The Castle
- Sunday 4 December, 1 – 4.30pm
Pop along to Bruce Castle and see what local heritage books we have on offer and find a special gift – all celebrating and telling stories about our local area.
With signed copies of books for sale from authors – including the folks who wrote the book about Bobby Buckle will also be there in person.

Christmas Craft Festive Fun
- Wednesday 7 December, Thursday 8 December, Wednesday 14 December, Thursday 15 December – just drop in between 3:30-4:30pm
Come along to Bruce Castle after school to enjoy our beautiful Christmas trees on display all around the Museum, learn about a Victorian Christmas and take part in some lovely festive craft activities.
Free – suitable for children aged 4-12 years.

Come and wonder at all things sparkly as you wander around the galleries at the Museum – all brought to life by beautifully decorated Christmas trees, inspired by the Museum’s collections and the history of Haringey.
It’s a Topper! The Crouch End & District U3A Crochet Group presents ….
- Throughout December, drop in Wednesday – Sunday, 1 – 5pm
A big THANK YOU to the fantastically talented Crochet Group at CEDU3A who have crocheted over the past few weeks a unique topper for one of the red post boxes at Bruce Castle – now on display in the Courtyard. The artwork celebrates all things Haringey, including crocheted Tottenham cake, clock tower, football stars and even the Alexandra Palace transmitter! What other stories inspired by Haringey’s wonderful heritage can you spot?

Twelve Days of Christmas @ The Castle
- On display from 12 December
Bruce Castle will be decorating its windows with a display and very special interpretation of the 12 days of Christmas – each day exploring a different aspect of Haringey and its history. Make sure you follow our instagram to see each day being revealed and try to spot the unique local references!
