Alexandra Palace and Hadley Wood residents invited to find out more about nearby railway improvement work

Hadley Wood and Alexandra Palace vegetation management

Network Rail is inviting residents in Alexandra Palace and Hadley Wood to find out more about vegetation management work that is taking place on the railway.

The work, which begins next month (May 2023) and will continue until February 2024, will improve the safety and reliability of the railway by clearing trees and overgrown vegetation from railway land. Trees that pose a risk will be cut-back or removed, allowing train drivers to see the signals more clearly as well reducing the risk of them damaging overhead lines and passing trains.

To allow people to find out more about the work, Network Rail is holding two public information events. These will take place on:

  • Tuesday, 9 May between 17:00 and 19:00 at Discovery Hall, Barnet Scout Group, 1 Stevenson Cl, New Barnet, Barnet EN5 1DN
  • Tuesday, 16 May between 17:30 and 18:15 – Online Teams Live event.

To join the Teams Live Event please use this link https://bit.ly/3nHD7Wy.

In order to join the call, you will need to create a Microsoft Teams account on the website https://bit.ly/3oC2Jj0 and then download either the desktop application or the Mobile/Tablet application for Microsoft Teams.
