Getting the Measure of William Bedwell: Maths, Measurement and the Arabic World
This exhibition, funded by the Royal Society, delves into the life and work of William Bedwell, the 17th-century Vicar of Tottenham, who was a leading figure in Arabic studies and mathematics. The museum will host two special events in connection with this exhibition:

- Details: Join the exhibition curators in conversation with Alastair Hamilton, a leading authority on Bedwell, and Samantha Brown, a PhD student at UCL whose research focuses on Arabic language in early modern England. The discussion will explore Bedwell’s manuscripts and his connections between early modern Tottenham and the wider world. A unique opportunity to walk to All Hallows Church, Bedwell’s former workplace, will follow the talk.

- Time: 2:30 PM
- Details: Tottenham artist Mary Yacoob will discuss her artworks inspired by diagrams from astronomy, mathematics, and architecture, fields where women’s voices are often under-represented. Her cyanotypes and drawings reinterpret scientific diagrams, creating new dialogues between arts and sciences. This talk takes place during Women’s History Month.
Pop-Up Exhibition: ‘The Brook’ by Ben Nathan
On Display: Wednesday, February 18 to Sunday, March 22 (Wednesdays to Sundays, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM)
Artist Ben Nathan presents ‘The Brook,’ an exhibition of photographs and maps documenting his year-long investigation into Bounds Green Brook. This project explores the subterranean culverts and paradoxical landscapes of spring water and sewage, highlighting environmental concerns and community engagement in water quality testing.
