Ghostly Nights Return: Bruce Castle’s ‘After Dark’ Tours This Halloween

London’s historic Bruce Castle is opening its creaking doors once again for After Dark @ The Castle, offering visitors a candlelit glimpse into one of the city’s most haunted landmarks.

Bruce Castle’s ‘After Dark’ Tours This Halloween

The eerie evening tours will take place on Wednesday 29, Thursday 30, and Friday 31 October, with two sessions each night — from 6:30–8:00 pm and 8:15–9:45 pm. Tickets are priced at £15, which includes a complimentary drink of your choice — either a glass of wine or a warming hot chocolate.

Guided by costumed hosts, guests will step back into the Victorian era to hear spine-chilling tales and uncover the ghostly secrets said to linger within the castle’s ancient walls. As described in The Brucian (1856):

“Bruce Castle is haunted, as everybody knows… who stalks about in the turret classroom when mortals are a-bed?”

The event welcomes attendees to dress up for the occasion, though costumes are optional. Please note that tours are strictly for adults aged 18 and over.

For booking, email museum.services@haringey.gov.uk with your name, number of tickets, and preferred date and time. Payments must be made within 48 hours of receiving the link. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event incur a £5 fee.

But Halloween at Bruce Castle isn’t just for grown-ups. Families are invited to join free Halloween craft sessions on Thursday 30 and Friday 31 October, from 1:30–4:30 pm. Children aged 5–10 can enjoy creating creepy cobweb decorations, exploring Halloween-themed books, and learning about Constantia Lucy, the “lady who never left the Castle.” No booking is required — simply drop in!
